DP Air is owned and operated
by Dave Palacios. Dave is an A&P with
inspection authorization (IA) and more than 15 years of experience. If you're new to aircraft ownership or just haven't found the
right shop for you, give us a call.

professional service at reasonable prices.
Selecting a Maintenance Shop
It's one of the
most important decisions an aircraft owner can make. Who will he or she trust
to work on their pride and joy? All shops are not the same!
Check out the IA running the place. Ask to see
the records he keeps for work done on an aircraft. Does he have up to date
manuals, service bulletins and ADs on your aircraft?
Does he have an Annual inspection sheet specifically tailored to your aircraft?
Is each and every item initialed by the person who did
the work? If you need a cylinder change or other major operation, does he have
an assembly and inspection guide for that operation? Does the shop facility
look neat and clean, or are there parts and tools laying everywhere? How long
has the shop been in business? Does the IA own the business? Be very careful of
non certified shops where the IA is just an employee.
Ask for other pilots as references.
